Kelly Clarkson Nails This Classic '90s Jam, And We’re ‘Lovin’’ It

Hear the "American Idol" winner sing En Vogue.

As per usual, Kelly Clarkson doesn't disappoint. The original American Idol winner was a guest on BBC Radio this morning, November 10, in London, and took on the En Vogue hit "My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)." This '90s jam might be a classic, but Clarkson's voice knows no bounds.

Flanked by musicians and backup singers, the 35-year-old "Love So Soft" singer belts out the lyrics with her signature voice that's the perfect blend of sultry, powerful, and soulful. She makes it look effortless, emoting the lyrics and grooving along to the beat while slaying every note in the meantime. (That said, nobody is perfect and even Clarkson has hilariously stumbled before.)

"My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It)" was the lead single off En Vogue's 1992 album Funky Divas. The group at that time consisted of members Terry Ellis, Cindy Herron, Maxine Jones, and Dawn Robinson — saw this song hit No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Billboard critics also named it at No. 6 on the list of the 100 greatest girl group songs of all time.

With Clarkson currently promoting her brand new album Meaning of Life, we hope to see more covers in the near future. After all, she has blown us away with covers of Nick Jonas' "Jealous," Sia's "Chandelier," and Hamilton's "It's Quiet Uptown" before.
