Watch This 'America's Got Talent' Teen Take Katy Perry's 'Rise' To New Heights

Jayna Brown is one to watch.

Earlier this summer, 14-year-old America's Got Talent contestant Jayna Brown earned the Golden Buzzer from guest judge Louis Tomlinson for her stunning rendition of Andra Day's "Rise Up." During Tuesday night's semifinals performance, she took flight all over again with her cover of Katy Perry's Olympic anthem "Rise."

Surrounded by dramatic light effects and onstage fog, Jayna appeared to literally soar above the clouds as she performed, once again showing incredible talent beyond her years. The song choice, with its inspiring lyrics about overcoming obstacles to do great things, becomes even more powerful when you remember Jayna's story. The teen revealed earlier this season that she and her mother recently lost their home.

One of the song's most memorable lyrics, "Victory is in my veins," could come true for Jayna if she makes it to the finals. She has some tough competition, though. That includes other talented young singers like Grace VanderWaal and Calysta Bevier — both of whom started the show with their own Golden Buzzer moments just like Jayna.

No matter who takes home the top prize, it just goes to show how much promising talent this season has introduced. It's going to be a difficult choice.
