Ex-Fifth Harmony Member Camila Cabello’s First Solo Music Video Is A Roller Coaster Of Emotions

We have "Crying in the Club" on repeat.

After stepping away from Fifth Harmony at the end of last year, we're finally getting our first glimpses at what Camila Cabello's solo career will look like. The talented 20-year-old today released the first single off her upcoming debut album The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving., titled "Crying in the Club," and its accompanying music video.

You'll probably notice how Sia-esque "Crying in the Club" is — and there's a simple explanation for that. The Aussie singer-songwriter penned the tune along with Cabello, Benny Blanco, Cashmere Cat, and Happy Perez. In addition to getting some comparisons to Sia's smash hits, Billboard notes that it samples Christina Aguilera's "Genie in the Bottle" from 1999.

At the beginning of the music video, we get about 90 seconds previewing another song, "I Have Questions," off the Cuban-born singer's forthcoming album. Then, we get into the extremely danceable "Crying in the Club," and we bounce back and forth between a black-and-white scene with graceful dancing, a sultry bathtub scene, and a vibrantly colorful club set.

The song and its music video have already gotten the thumbs-up from Cabello's fellow musicians such as Shawn Mendes (whom Cabello wrote and sang with on the 2015 jam "I Know What You Did Last Summer"), Ariana Grande, Charlie XCX, and Lorde. Cabello tweeted that she's "so proud" of the video and "everything it represents" to herself.

The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving. doesn't have a release date just yet, but we'll get to see Cabello perform this song live for the first time on Sunday, May 21, at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
