With the presidential election less than a month away, this weekend's new episode of Saturday Night Live featured plenty of sketches poking fun at the candidates. But for those in need of a break from the political snark, musical guest Bruno Mars was the answer.
Whereas most SNL musical guests stick to the stage, Bruno did things a little differently for his performance of "24K Magic." After host Emily Blunt introduced him, the camera moved down the hall, where Bruno and his backup singers emerged to get the party started. He sang his way through a crowd of dancers and showed off a few signature moves from his latest music video.
With a minute or so to spare, Bruno eventually made it to the stage, where a huge gold "XXIV" was waiting for him. "Watch me break it down," he said, before doing just that. Later in the show, he stayed on stage to debut a brand-new song called "Chunky."
Bruno's album 24K Magic is dropping November 18. After far too long without any new music ("Uptown Funk" just wasn't enough), it's good to have him back.
