It's been a minute since we've heard new music from Bruno Mars. Almost four years have passed since his last album, and if you can believe it, "Uptown Funk" was released back in 2014. That Grammy-winning collaboration with Mark Ronson enjoyed popularity through 2015 and beyond, but it's about time we heard something new from the singer.
Lucky for us, on Thursday night Mars decided to give us more than just a new single — he also dropped a music video and a release date for his upcoming album. The song is called "24K Magic" (also the title of the album), and it definitely feels like an "Uptown Funk" sequel of sorts.
The video certainly adds to that feeling. The singer arrives in Vegas on a private plane with his crew, and they proceed to party, cruise the Strip and, of course, dance. We're ready to start copying these moves ASAP.
It will be interesting to hear how Mars' sound has evolved since his last solo music, and whether his most recent hit will have the same funky influence on the rest of the album. We won't have to wait very long to find out — 24K Magic will be available November 18.
