The 'Beauty And The Beast' Theme Gets Beautifully Reimagined By A Mariachi Band

Complete with a new ballroom dance.

If you need any more proof that the magic of Disney transcends culture, look no further than this stunning mariachi cover of the Beauty and the Beast theme song.

In a new video from Latino digital network Mitú, the group Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar performs an instrumental version of the tune, which was first sung by Angela Lansbury in the original 1991 animated film. (Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson also sang a version for the film's soundtrack, with Ariana Grande and John Legend taking up the mantle for the new live-action remake.)

The musicians play the song on trumpets, violins, and guitars, while a pair of dancers dressed in traditional Mexican garb (with Belle's signature pop of yellow) perform a sweeping ballroom dance choreographed by the Ballet Folklorico Company in Los Angeles.

The video is going viral this week, with more than 9 million views on Facebook so far. Viewers are loving the group's moving reinvention of an iconic moment in film history, with many feeling pride over the performance's representation of Mexican culture.

"This is freaking beautiful!" one commenter wrote. "Makes me feel so proud to be Mexican!"

"I love my Mexican culture!" another wrote on YouTube. "This is just beautiful."
