This 'Standing Together' Series Highlights Nonprofits Supporting The LGBTQ Community

#TogetherIsBeautiful

During Pride Month, so many people, organizations, and groups are coming together in support of the LGBTQ community, whether they are simply wearing a rainbow on their sleeve, raising awareness about ways to help, or fundraising for specific causes affecting LGBTQ people.

It's amazing to see so many putting their efforts toward helping others, and Wells Fargo is highlighting some of these people with its "Standing Together" campaign by featuring four non-profits: Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), The Trevor Project, Point Foundation, and Advocacy and Services for LGBT Elders (SAGE).

Their campaign videos highlight the way nonprofits have helped individuals, and show "inspiring stories of strength, courage, and support."

For instance, we hear about how one person named Jared overcame bullying at school thanks to the support of GLSEN. Additionally, Joyce shares how SAGE encouraged her to join their community when she started to feel isolated.

The "Standing Together" campaign also commemorates the 30th anniversary of Wells Fargo's support of the LGBTQ community. And it reiterates the brand's commitment to doing so.

John Lake, Wells Fargo's LGBTQ segment lead, told Paper about the importance of the "Standing Together" campaign, saying "We wanted to move beyond just a celebratory rainbow campaign. We wanted to go deeper and tell some real, authentic stories about some of the most vulnerable members of the community and really bring some awareness to the organizations that are addressing those needs."

Wells Fargo is also encouraging social media users to show how they stand together with the LGBTQ community by using the tag #togetherisbeautiful.
