Zendaya woke up to a somewhat scary sight this morning.
She recently did a cover story and spread for Modeliste Magazine.
However, something was off with the photos.
Upon further inspection, she realized that the publication photoshopped her 19-year-old body without getting her permission, drastically reducing the size of her legs and hips in the photos. This was not OK with Zendaya, and she wasn't about to allow millions of girls to see a body that wasn't hers.
So she took to Instagram to show the world her real body, juxtaposed with the photoshopped version, to show girls that you should be proud of your natural body and not some unrealistic version of it.
She said in her caption, "These are the things that make women self conscious, that create the unrealistic ideals of beauty that we have. Anyone who knows who I am knows I stand for honest and pure self love."
She finished by saying that the magazine pulled the photoshopped images and replaced them with the originals.
