It's no secret that yoga is an excellent way to relax your mind and exercise your body, but did you know practicing a few poses before bed can actually help you sleep?
"We live in such a fast-paced environment and our senses are always being stimulated, and that affects our nervous system," Vyda Bielkus, founder of Health Yoga Life, tells The Huffington Post. "The yogic technique of focusing on your breath can be helpful — the exhalation stimulates the nervous system to release ... [and] the poses also help us relieve tension from the physical body."
