Will Smith has previously said, "I have a great time with my life and I wanna share it."
He definitely lived up to that philosophy Tuesday during his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Even during the commercial breaks, he was ready to share his positivity with the crowd.
Fortunately, the cameras caught it all.
As the show went to break, Colbert's house band Jon Batiste and Stay Human began playing Will's 1991 hit "Summertime." Will simply couldn't ignore the tune, so he interrupted his conversation with the host to grab a mic and start rapping.
The audience immediately leapt to their feet as Will proved he still remembers all the lyrics.
He even held out the microphone and encouraged the crowd to sing along.
The impromptu performance is sure to put a smile on your face and get you in the spirit of the season. Hot temperatures and back-to-school prep might have you stressed, but Will's here to remind you that sometimes it's best to just "sit back and unwind."
It's clear that just because Will is a big movie star now doesn't mean he's out of touch with his roots, or his desire to share a sense of fun with his fans.
