All of us have had teachers that have greatly affected us at some point in our lives. But how do teachers themselves feel about their profession and the kids that they teach? Sure, they share comments on report cards and graded papers, but what do they really think?
Several teachers used the Whisper app to make anonymous confessions about themselves and their feelings toward their students. It can be easy to forget that our favorite teachers are fallible people with secrets of their own, but these confessions put it all out there.
From feeling nervous on the first day of school to teaching students who seem to only talk badly about one another, it's clear that being a teacher can be complicated. Many of their responses show how dedicated teachers are and the difficulty of their profession. On the other hand, some of their responses remind us that teachers are flawed humans just like the rest of us and they're not perfect, even if we'd like them to be.
