Teacher Gives 5-Year-Old Sight Words To Practice But He Ends Up Reading Parent's Instructions, Too

It's only a matter of time before he's reading "Crime and Punishment."

He may only be a kindergartner, but Joe H.'s son is at a reading level much beyond his years.

He posted a video of his son on Reddit doing his sight reading homework — where kids practice reading easy words out loud —but the little guy goes a step further. Just when he gets to the end of his sheet, he starts to read the fine-print paragraph at the end of the homework. You know, the directions meant for parents to read and understand their child's assignment.

If that wasn't impressive enough, dad also posted a video of the mini genius reading the book Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus at just 4-years-old.

Way to read, kid, way to read.
