When the news first came out that Netflix was remaking "Wet Hot American Summer" as a television show — with the original cast — we were excited. The 2001 movie is a cult comedy classic, and many of the actors featured in it went on to have really successful careers in the industry. Today, Netflix finally released the first "Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp" photos, and they are glorious. We finally get to see what the characters played by Amy Pohler, Paul Rudd, Marguerite Moreau, Bradley Cooper and Christopher Meloni look like 14 years later.
And that isn't even half the cast! We still have many others to look forward to, like newcomers Jon Hamm, Chris Pine, Kristen Wiig, John Slattery and Josh Charles. This list of actors is simply incredible.
Though it's been 14 year, the "Wet Hot American Summer" show takes place in the early '90s, just like the movie. We don't know many details yet about the plot of the show, other than that it will be set earlier in the same summer as the original film.
Check out the first batch of photos below. July 31 can't come soon enough.
