It's been five years since the finale of Heroes, the cult TV show about ordinary people who discover they have extraordinary abilities. It was a huge success for NBC, and it introduced us to Zachary Quinto and Hayden Panettiere, two actors who got their big breaks on the show. But Heroes is probably best remembered for its rabid fan base. If you're into sci-fi or superheroes, you were probably obsessed with Heroes for at least the first season. NBC announced in February that it's rebooting the series, and now we have our first look at the trailer for Heroes Reborn.
Heroes Reborn will exist in the same world as the original, but it is set some years later, at a time when everyone seems to know that heroes exist among us — and they're not happy about it. Excitingly, some fan favorites from Heroes are returning. Expect to see Hiro Nakamura, H.R.G., The Haitian, Mohinder Suresh and Matt Parkman all pop up in the reboot.
The new story focuses on a group of young people who are all first starting to realize their powers. A press release hints at the world they find themselves in: "A year ago, a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, left the city decimated. Blamed for the tragic event, those with extraordinary abilities are in hiding or on the run from those with nefarious motives."
