In a country where 40 to 50 percent of all marriages end in divorce, people are looking for answers. Well, science may offer one.
According to a new Vox video, studies have shown that one of the best ways to improve the success of a marriage is to leave behind traditional tropes and get men more involved at home. Now that 58 percent of women are working, they can't "just be moms."
That means doing household chores, spending more time with the kids, and generally making day-to-day work less of a priority than family.
"Take couples who have kids but aren't married," the video says. In those relationships men who were more involved in caring for the kids were more likely to make the transition to marriage, compared to those who were less involved."
