In The Upset Of The 21st Century, Vinyl Records Are Suddenly Getting More Popular

Not many people predicted this.

Between 2013 and 2014, record sales in the United States increased by 52 percent. 

That jump is part of a growing trend that shows vinyl records are making a comeback in a big way. According to an infographic from Liberty Games, 2014 United Kingdom record sales hit 1,300,000, nearly matching the more than 1,450,000 records sold in 1994.
