It"s an indisputable fact that people love looking at themselves. Starting with the very first cave paintings, to the recent selfie craze, we humans thrive on self-portraiture. No wonder the first self portrait vending machines, or photobooths, were an instant hit.
First introduced back in 1883, photobooth portraits became incredibly popular during the early Edwardian era and kept their position up until late 20th century. Photobooths were commonly found at sea resorts and had to keep all the little secrets that took place.
