It's Creepy What She Stumbled Upon In The Backyard During A Snowstorm
Talk about snowmageddon.
Just like there are two sides to every coin, there are two sides to the winter season as well.
One is the serene winter wonderland television has made sure we're all familiar with, complete with puffy snowbanks, frosty windows and skating on ice-covered lakes. And the other, well, is kind of nightmarish and perfectly captured in this video by YouTube user Darla Johnson.
What this video features is a natural phenomenon called ice tsunami, ice wave or ice shove. The peculiar event is caused by high winds and water currents that push the ice off the surface of a lake and onto land.
