'90s nostalgia is in full force lately, with classic artists such as Vanilla Ice and Salt-N-Pepa going on tour together, and Nickelodeon bringing back as many shows from the decade as possible. TV nostalgia isn't a phenomenon limited to just one decade, though, as evidenced by another reboot from much earlier: The Twilight Zone.
TheWrap reports that CBS is teaming up with digital video company Interlude to create a choose-your-own-adventure reboot of the classic surrealist show. That means for whatever dystopian futures or sci-fi worlds the new episodes hold, you'll be able to interact with the content and determine which direction the action heads in.
Viewers will be able to "change and adapt the story based on what he or she feels," CBS and Interlude said. "As with all other Interlude videos, viewers can return repeatedly and have a different viewing experience each time." So if you don't like what happens the first time around, you'll be able to go back and re-write the story. The result is a mix between TV and video games that sounds like it could be the subject of a Twilight Zone episode itself.
Unfortunately, as of now, there doesn't appear to be a similar tool for your actual life. Just put in a concerted effort to never make mistakes — that should be easy, right?
