Toddler Has A Big Ole Smile As Firefighters Rescue Him From A Locked Car

"Thank you to the amazing guys who rescued my cheeky monkey after locking himself in the car today at Bude Lidl!!"

Sometimes bad things happen — but one little toddler's showing us that maintaining a smile can make everything better.

Recently, mom Kirsty Green, 27, left her 14-month-old son, Brandon, in the backseat of her car while she loaded her groceries into the trunk, according to Metro

"I decided to put him in the back of the car while I was unloading the shopping so he didn't keep trying to stand up in the trolley," Green says.

But Brandon ended up hitting the car's locking system, locking himself inside with his mother outside. According to reports, the grocery store staff came out to help, and eventually, the Bude Community Fire Station arrived on-scene.

When crew members noticed Brandon had put a coin in his mouth, they smashed through the car's back window to remove Brandon from danger, according to The Independent

"Thank you to the amazing guys who rescued my cheeky monkey after locking himself in the car today at Bude Lidl!!" Green writes in a post shared on the fire station's Facebook page. "He was clearly traumatized by the whole ordeal," she adds, attaching a picture of Brandon with a huge smile on his face.

"That's is definitely a photo for the memory box when he's older," one person comments on the post.

That's for sure.
