Nobel Prize Winner Made A Sexist Comment, So Female Scientist Gave Him A Taste Of His Own Medicine On Social Media

#DistractinglySexy

As you might have heard already, Tim Hunt, an English biochemist and also a Nobel Prize winner, made some pretty ludicrous statements at the World Conference of Science Journalists in Seoul, South Korea, a couple of days ago.

This needs to be quoted, really.

"Let me tell you about my trouble with girls," Hunt said at the conference. "Three things happen when they are in the lab: you fall in love with them, they fall in love with you and when you criticize them, they cry.”

The crowd reacted to Hunt's sexist comment straight away. Many people voiced their opinion on social media and it was right on point.

Female scientists had perfect responses ready.

Ridiculous claims — ridiculous responses.

Soon enough the hashtag #DistractinglySexy took over the Internet.

An entire liver transplant surgery. Without crying!

Thank goodness for that outfit, girl.

Damn sexy.

"Didn't even cry this time, so proud!"

Masks that stop lady tears?

Yep. Just another lady in the lab. Falling in love with pretty much anyone/anything.

Is it the hat?!

That outfit is absolutely NSWF.

"Thankfully, worker bees are all female, otherwise..."

You go, Curie!

Thank you, Internet! Now the entire world knows how NSFW having a woman in a lab really is.
