This 5-Year-Old Has A Brain Tumor And He Loves Cards. Let's Fill His P.O. Box.

He's got a birthday on Friday. Let's do this.

Update: Danny Nickerson passed away on April 24th, 2015. He was 6 years old. We offer our thoughts and sincere condolences to his family.

Danny Nickerson is five years old and excited to be turning six this Friday, July 25th.

This past October, Danny was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor: one that is particularly resistant to treatment. Fewer than 10% of kids diagnosed with this type of tumor live beyond 18 months after diagnosis.

As a result of this, Danny has undergone 33 radiation treatments and has chemotherapy every two weeks. He's also had to leave kindergarten and he gets lonely sometimes. His mother, Carley, says that he loves getting cards and mail. "He can recognize his name now," she told ABC News, "When he saw his name on the package from magical fairies on Easter, he was so happy."

The only thing Danny wants for his birthday is more mail. So let's send him some for his birthday. He also likes Lego and Super Mario, but he really just wants cards and letters.

Send him a card at the address below.

Even if you don't send a card, please share this with your friends. We hope other sites pick this up. We'd like to see Danny's mailbox filled with cards and letters (and maybe some Lego.)

Happy birthday, Danny. We hope you'll see many more.
