Feel The Electricity As The Tesla Model X Kicks Some Supercar Butt In A Drag Race, While Pulling A Supercar

It's like the Tesla founder also designs rockets... oh wait.

We know what you're thinking.

There's no way an electric Tesla Model X P90D SUV could possibly beat a supercar such as the Alfa Romeo 4C in a drag race.

Well, not so fast. Not only can it beat an Alfa Romeo, it can beat an Alfa Romeo while pulling another Alfa Romeo.

Yes, you read that correctly. But first, some stats.

The electric-powered Tesla can go from 0 to 60 mph in a mind-blowing 3.2 seconds.

Like Dominic Toretto, it kills at the 1/4 mile, completing the distance in 11.7 seconds at 116 mph.

As you can see, it's as quick as the Challenger SRT Hellcat and quicker than the BMW Alpina B6 Gran Coupe.

It also beat the 2017 Bentley Bentayga in a drag race.

It should be noted that Motor Trend's Jason Cammisa said that Bentley marketed this car as the "fastest, most powerful SUV... ever."

Maybe be in the long term, with a higher top speed of 187 mph, as per Car and Driver, but in the quarter mile, no chance.

Not to mention, it does have really cool automatic doors. OK, that has nothing to do with speed, we just wanted to "Oooh and ahhh" for a moment. Back to the race.

Once they switch it over to "Ludicrous" mode — yes, "Ludicrous" is a mode — this bad boy is ready to go.

Now it's time for takeoff. Watch the Model X P90D take on the Alfa Romeo, while pulling an Alfa Romeo, starting at the 4:00 mark below.

Afterward, you can check out Motor Trend's full review of both the 2017 Bentley Bentayga and Tesla.
