For The Fifth Year In A Row, Target Is Celebrating Pride Month With Its #TakePride Collection

Despite the boycotts.

June is LGBTQ Pride Month and for the fifth year in a row, Target is releasing their Take Pride collection that supports and celebrates the LGBTQ+ community.  The clothes spread positive messages and feature rainbows, as well as such phrases as, "Love Conquers All,"  "Rainbows Are Always In Style," and "I Love My Dads." The range also has pride merchandise, such as hats, disposable cups, towels, and pool toys.

The collection will be available in 150 Target stores as well as online.

And Target's #TakePride campaign doesn't stop there.

The retailer is committed to vocalizing its support for the LGBTQ community. Laysha Ward, Target's executive vice president and chief corporate social responsibility officer, explained on the campaign's website,

"Weโ€™re making our message loud and clear: Target proudly stands with the LGBT community."

The message is especially significant given that the company has faced boycotts due to its #TakePride collection, as well as for its support for fair transgender bathroom laws, and for publicly endorsing gay marriage.

By annually releasing their Take Pride collection, Target shows they will not be silenced when it comes to promoting messages of love and equality.

Because of this, they have gained many more fans. People are already noticing their local Target's getting decorated ahead of Pride Month, and they couldn't be happier. Take a look at some of the positive reactions from customers seeing Target's inclusive #TakePride campaign:

It's not just LGBTQ rights that Target has supported. The company has also earned praise from customers for its inclusive ad campaigns featuring people of all abilities, its clothes that shatter rigid gender stereotypes, and for its supportive breastfeeding policy
