Continuing the awful trend of mothers being shamed at public pools this summer, another woman recently encountered the same unfair treatment. But before this mom could respond, a surprising ally saved the day.
Tanja Krstic Radusinovic, a mother of three from Las Vegas, was at a community pool. While nursing her infant son, she claims that a man in his 40s approached her.
"Excuse me, are you breastfeeding your baby?" the man reportedly asked. "I don't think you should be doing that here."
The 35-year-old was about to respond to the man by "punching him in his testicles," but then the man's mother — who Radusinovic described as being in her 70s —reprimanded him.
"I had no idea I raised you like that, Kevin!" the older woman said, according to a Facebook post by Radusinovic. "I am not talking to you until you apologize."
Radusinovic shared the entire epic story in a post on the social platform that has received over 13,000 likes since August 4. She noted that, following his mom's admonishment, the man apologized.
Radusinovic believes that her story has an important lesson.
"Leave moms alone!" Radusinovic told PEOPLE. "It's normal. I can't believe that grown-up men — and women — would be offended by a baby eating. If I were bottle feeding, that would never have happened."
She's also glad that her Facebook post is getting the message out there.
"I'm glad my story [is] being shared cause it really tells a lot about our society in general," she wrote to A Plus. "It raises awareness of what some moms are going through."
