In all matters of communication, diplomacy is key. As the saying goes, you can catch more flies with honey than vinegar, and while we would be loathe to draw any comparisons between humans of either sex to six-legged insects, it would be foolish not to admit that grandmother's adage is, at its core, an unerringly true observation.
The so-called "battle of the sexes" has less to do with gender politics of any stripe than it does with communication styles. As anyone will tell you, there are some questions that, if formed incorrectly, carry with them the risk of all domestic hell breaking loose.
It's not what you say, it's how you say it.
We no longer have to turn to "self-help" books.
In the 20th century, people attempted to remedy miscommunication via self-help books. In the digital age, we needn't spend $16.95 on a trade paperback filled with pseudoscience posing as enlightened thought: We can simply turn to the internet, where, thanks to the power of memes, we can glance at something like the table below (found on I love this pic, cheers, thanks) for an instant reference to the best way to handle any domestic and/or romantic inquiry.
Because, of course, who wouldn't appreciate being offered a glass of wine?
