This Video Of The Spice Girls Calling Out Sexism Is The Ultimate Throwback

"Girl power!"

Fans of the Spice Girls will feel proud of their '90s nostalgia when they see the latest throwback clip making the rounds online. It's a behind-the-scenes moment from the filming of a commercial for the Polaroid Spice Cam. When a man on set suggests they show more cleavage and midriff in their schoolgirl costumes, the women band together to tell him off.

It starts with Mel B (Scary Spice) confronting the man, who explains that it's "every man's fantasy." She appears to respond, "Well, you can fuck off." Other members of the group eventually join her, with Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) calling the man a "chauvinistic pig," and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) pulling his sunglasses off and telling him to "stop trying to look cool."

"You should know better by now, shouldn't you, really?" Geri asks him. "You're in the advertising thing. What sort of example is that?"

But arguably the best part of the video comes at the end when Mel B turns to the camera and calls him out once more. "He's the one who said, 'Can you show a bit of cleavage and midriff?' and we said ..." That's when Mel C (Sporty Spice) walks by and shouts, "Girl power!"

Girl power is right! Thanks, ladies.
