FC Barcelona soccer star Neymar Jr., 24, is so incredible when it comes to soccer, he decided to give a new sport a try during a visit to the U.S.
So, on Tuesday, May 31, Neymar visited the New York Mets at Citi Field to film a special promotion, and to get in some batting practice, before the Mets' game against the Chicago White Sox.
He had the spare time to visit the Mets because Barcelona requested that he should not play for his native country of Brazil in the Copa America this summer before participating in the Olympics.
During the visit, Neymar sported a No. 10 Mets jersey, the same number he wears for Brazil, with his name on it. Although he's not a big baseball fan, he got to meet Mets players such as Yoenis Cespedes.
He even participated in the team's batting practice. While he's never played baseball before, he took some pointers from Mets hitting coach Kevin Long, and he even managed to get some hits.
"He's not a quitter," a member of the Mets' staff said during the batting practice.
But the coolest moment of the visit came when Neymar juggled a baseball — with his foot.
"I'm really enjoying the experience," he said, according to a translator, via The Wall Street Journal.
