The "Lord of the Rings" family just lost one of their own as the actor known for his role as Saruman in the trilogy, Christopher Lee, has died at age 93.
Lee passed away Sun., June 7, after his hospitalization at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London for respiratory failure, according to Us Weekly.
According to The Guardian, the public is only finding out about the British actor's death now because his wife of 50 years wanted family to know and digest the news first.
Other credits of Lee include the Star Wars trilogy as Count Dooku and the 1958 film Dracula as Dracula.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Lee spoke about receiving the Bafta Fellowship, an honor given to those who have shown excellence in the drama field.
"I'm much softer than people think," he said. "I don't present to the world an emotional face. I'm pretty good at self-control, but I am easily moved."
Lee, officially Sir Christopher Lee, was knighted in 2009.
He will be missed.
