19 Books From 'The Simpsons' That We Should Probably Read, Too

Which one would you pick up first?

This past April, beloved TV show The Simpsons celebrated its 30th anniversary of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie. Whether the show was making references to iconic films, predicting a presidency, or inspiring innovation, it's clear the show is deeply rooted in popular culture. So it's no surprise that much of the books we find throughout the 29 seasons of the series are either real books or magazines, parodies of real books or magazines, or hilarious books we wish we could actually read.

Guatemala City-based art director Carmen López has created the popular Instagram account, Simpsons Library, which is dedicated to cataloging some of the many books that are featured on the show.

"As a big Simpsons fan, I was already following a lot of Instagram accounts that share recurring themes in the show and found myself collected snippets of scenes and details of the huge Simpsons universe like cars, tattoos, movie references, food," López told It's Nice That"I love them all, but it seemed very strange to me that nobody had covered the literary elements because it was one of the things that caught my attention the most. One sleepless night, I started collecting some of the screenshots to pass the time."

Now fans of the account, which currently has more than 11,300 followers, send López screenshots of their favorite books featured in the series as well. Scrolling through her Instagram account dedicated to the project makes you realize just how genius the book titles the show has come up with are.
