Showtime's New "Billions" Trailer Shows Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis Going At It

Money, ego, beards, light lips.

Showtime's Billions won't debut until 2016, but there's plenty to be excited about given that its leads are both Emmy winners and we already have footage of them going toe to toe. The first Billions trailer has been released and, as the title would suggest, it features a lot of money being thrown around and, in turn, people getting angry at each other. That generally seems to be the case where large amounts of money are concerned.

Lewis stars as a genius hedge fund executive named Bobby "Axe" Axelrod and Giamatti plays hard-nosed U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhoades. The series takes place in New York City and will follow their inevitable clash, which as the trailer shows is full of screaming and profanity-laced threats. Maggie Siff, Malin Akerman, Toby Leonard Moore, David Costabile and Condola Rashad also star.

Billions will bring Lewis back to the network he won an Emmy for as U.S. Marine Sgt. Nicholas Brody on the first three seasons of Homeland. Considering his claim to fame before that was a starring role on Band of Brothers as U.S. Army Maj. Richard Winters, it actually might be a bit surprising to see him as a character that isn't somehow involved in a literal war.

The show lands sometime in 2016, but for now here are some more screenshots of Lewis and Giamatti looking very serious to tide you over:
