For The First Time, This Shelter Adopted Out All Its Animals. Each And Every One.

Happy holidays! Woof woof!

EMBED:

If you're thinking of getting a pet for a loved one this holiday season, or for yourself, adopt adopt adopt! According to ASPCA, there are approximately 7.6 million companion animals in shelters nationwide every year. Many of these animals end up without homes, but for the animals in The Humane Society of Pikes Peak region in Colorado, this was not the case — they were all adopted. Each and every one.

This was the first time the shelter was able to adopt out all its animals, thanks to its #HomeForTheHolidays promotion, which waived all adoption fees. It was a happy day for the pets, and also the employees and volunteers of the shelter, who got to refill the empty kennels with new animals looking for homes.
