Watch 'Sesame Street' Characters Breathe New Life Into Film's Most Iconic Lines

Bert makes a mean James Bond.

As we've witnessed time and again, almost everything is better when it involves Sesame Street characters. Whether they're teaching us about our favorite foods, learning new letters of the alphabet, or getting a lesson in kindness, there's a reason they've been around for more than four decades.

Given their long history, it makes sense that the cast's latest appearance comes in the form of a new video from Vanity Fair in which Big Bird, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and the rest of the gang recite some iconic movie lines. The video goes in order through 80 years of films, starting with 1931's Frankenstein ("It's alive! It's alive!") and ending with 2011's The Help ("You is kind, you is smart, you is important.")

The video makes for a great crash course in film history, for kids or even for adults who may have missed out on a few of the classics over the years. We never knew how much we wanted to see Grover as Rocky and Bert as James Bond. And don't miss Big Bird's wise take on Robin Williams' Dead Poet Society mantra: "Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary."
