This Photographer Takes Imaginative Self-Portraits Illustrating What Her Life Would Be Like As Different People

What if you were someone else?

Some people daydream about what life would be like in a different family, or as a different person, but Czech photographer Dita Pepe doesn't have to dream, she creates it.

In a two-part series entitled "Self Portraits," Pepe styles herself with models of all ages and genders, in various poses and arrangements. She frames the men's photos as family portraits while the women's portraits tend to be more intimate, with herself posing as a sister or friend.

Both series have been ongoing since 1999, and they seem to be an attempt to answer to that always haunting question of "what if I were someone else?"
