President Obama Joins Jerry Seinfeld For 'Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee'

Jerry Seinfeld's award-winning web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, has welcomed numerous funny personalities on their show for a hilarious conversation while consuming a hot caffeinated beverage. For the most recent installment of the program, Seinfeld welcomed a very special guest.

This special guest lives at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

President Barack Obama joined Seinfeld for the season 7 premiere of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee. Seinfeld, who typically uses a different classic car for every episode, drove in a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. (Yes, it bears a resemblance to a submarine.)

In Seinfeld's opinion, Obama has said, "just enough funny lines to qualify for getting on this show."

Seinfeld knocked on Obama’s Oval Office window to greet him.

They try to leave together in the car, but the security at the White House won't let the President simply drive out. The result is a hilarious conversation that happens while they are moving the car along the White House driveway.

"I do really well with the 0 to 8 demographic," Obama said about children during the show. "They love me. Partly because they think my ears are big and I look a little like a cartoon character."

Seinfeld asked Obama about his favorite President growing up.

"Teddy Roosevelt is a cool character," Obama said. "He maybe the guy who is the most fun to hang out with. He just does crazy stuff."

Obama invited Seinfeld inside the Presidential vehicle.

"I could call a nuclear submarine right here," Obama said while Seinfeld was in the back of the Presidential vehicle. "It's a cool feature. Plus, seat warmers."

Then they finally get coffee in the White House.

Seinfeld asked, "How do you get up in the morning?"

"Somebody calls me," Obama said.

"How far can you wander around up there in your underwear," Seinfeld asked, "before there's people and it's not cool?"

"It's not cool generally wandering around in my underwear," Obama said.

Seinfeld was curious how many brands and colors of underwear that President Obama had. Obama stated he only has one brand and one color, but wouldn't state which color or brand.

Seinfeld asked Obama is he ever adjusted the thermostat in the White House.

"No," Obama said. "I make a call."

Seinfeld asked, "What's your most embarrassing Presidential moment?"

Obama responded, "This may be it."

Their conversation included Obama's love for nachos and a discussion on "foolish" politicians. And of course no visit with Obama is complete without a plug for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
