SBNation Video Shows Why This Texas Ranger Is The Best Thing About Baseball

When he kneels, it's not to protest anything but the scoreboard.

Sports site SBNation perfectly captured the joyful weirdness of Texas Rangers third base player Adrian Beltré in a Facebook video that has gotten more than 2.8 million views in less than a day.

The video highlights all of Beltré's eccentricities including his bromance with Texas shortstop Elvis Andrus and his incredible ability to hit home runs from a kneeling position, as recently demonstrated in a 408-foot homer against the Houston Astros that led to a 3-1 victory for the Rangers.

On a more serious note — especially if you're a pitcher for Oakland, who the Rangers are playing tonight — Beltré leads the Rangers with a .297 batting average this season. According to FOX Sports, the Rangers currently head the American League West Division with an 87-60 record and are 8.5 games ahead of the Seattle Mariners.
