Just this Monday, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City held the Met Gala. Celebrities such as Emma Watson and Claire Danes all came out in amazing outfits to match this year's theme of Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology.
For the big night, Sarah Jessica Parker wore a look that was custom made by up-and-coming designer Monse.
"How Sarah Jessica Parker Came to the Met Gala as Carrie Bradshaw," "Vogue" wrote.
While Carrie Bradshaw's classy, yet always playful, outfits have become iconic, not everyone liked Sarah Jessica Parker's Met Gala look. Fashion and entertainment blogger Ivy Marshall posted the following photo on Instagram calling out the actress' choice of outfit.
"The 2016 Met Gala Theme was Manus X Machina; Fashion in the Age of Technology and this trio didn't get the memo @sarahjessicaparker @dvf @madonna," Marshal said in her Instagram post.
Moments later, the Sex And The City actress responded with words as classy as her outfit.
"Got the memo. Always welcome thoughts but I'm a stickler for the theme and pay close attention to what it means. Every year with great consideration, research and conviction," SJP wrote. "The understanding of man and machine, how they intersect, when and why is what we considered. Perhaps you weren't aware of the technology used in the details and embellishments of the design. Or perhaps you simply didn't like what I wore which is completely fine but you can't accuse me of not paying close attention and adhering to the theme. With respect and warmest regards, sj."
While we sure are entitled to our opinions, we shouldn't be quick to judge other people, especially their efforts or personal interpretations.
The blogger later posted another photo on Instagram of her favorite SJP's Met Gala looks throughout the years, so it looks like everyone is on the good terms here.
