Getting up for work can be hard. Managing your day-to-day workload may be tough. And, oftentimes, facing the realities of adulthood is just plain awful.
In a series of comics from Sarah Andersen, the artist brings us all of life's struggles summed up in simple images, topped off with some humor.
For example, Andersen illustrates what it's like to set yourself an early morning alarm, only to lay in bed knowing you'll never wake up when you say you will.
When asked how she established her engaging aesthetic, Andersen tells Things In Squares, "It takes a while to find the right style, but if you draw a lot it will develop naturally. I think it's just about drawing what works for your particular comic and what you think looks funny."
And it seems to be working; Andersen has more than 1 million followers on Instagram alone.
