10-year-old Saffron Herndon is no stranger to the comedy world. Her father Steve is a stand-up comedian, and on Herndon's website she says she looks up to comedy greats like Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Phyllis Diller, and Aubrey Plaza, and hopes to follow in their footsteps.
Herndon is well on her way.
She has performed at several comedy venues and festivals, including Gilda Radner's Laughfest in Grand Rapids, Missouri, the Dallas Comedy Festival and the Amsterdam Comedy Festival in Dallas, Texas.
Her jokes, insightful and dripping with cynicism, seem so beyond her years that many doubt her integrity, claiming her father writes the jokes for her.
But Herndon insists this is not the case.
She told BuzzFeed Life, "It makes me laugh at how stupid some adult's perspectives are on me. But I do write my own material. I do collaborate with others, like most comedians."
Herndon has performing stand up comedy for almost two years already and we think she has a bright future ahead of her.
