How would you describe your relationship? What are you most insecure about? How long do you see your relationship lasting?
These are the questions asked in Revlon's "Love Test: Choose Love" video, featuring couples in various relationships, from newly dating to long-lasting marriages.
About halfway through the video, the partners are separated from one another so that they can express their thoughts and feelings without the other person hearing.
The questions start off relatively simple: "When was the last time you had sex?" Or, "What are the first words that come to mind to describe your relationship?"
Then, the questions go a little deeper. The interviewer asks: "What are you most insecure about?"
The answers range from "only one thing" to "she feels like she never quite is good enough at whatever she's doing." Issues about confidence and body image arise too.
Afterwards, the women are sent home to focus on themselves for a change. This is completed by changing up their usual routines and take time to "get in front of a mirror, use their favorite fragrance, apply eye makeup, savor a mint or piece of chocolate, apply lipstick or gloss, take a deep breath, look in the mirror, and smile," according to Cosmopolitan.com.
A week later, the women are interviewed again. Evidently, things have changed.
"Have you felt differently this week?" the interviewer begins.
"I just, you know, took some time, it’s almost like being given permission. Even though I don’t think I need it," one woman responds.
More answers include "I usually do not look at myself in the mirror like that, and when I had to do it, I was like damn, I'm beautiful," and "I felt a little more empowered."
Then, the women discuss the moments when they first realized they were in love, and each tells the interviewer how long they think their relationship will last. Everyone thinks (and hopes) they're in it for the long haul.
"I said aloud, 'Oh my God, I just met the man I am going to marry.'"
Finally, the couples are reunited and their incredible dynamics are captured on camera. We think everyone passed this love test.
