These Girls Opened A Reese's Peanut Butter Cup And Made A Horrifying Discovery

For any candy lover, this video is going to be tough to watch.

Warning: The video above contains explicit language.

Reese's has some explaining to do.

One of Hershey's most popular brands took a bruise this week when Renae Hubbard posted the video above to her Facebook. In it, she breaks apart a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup that is occupied by worms. Debate has risen over whether they are mealworms, maggots or something else, but one thing is certain: they have legs, they are alive and they are not something people want in their candy.

Some fans of the candy have commented on Reese's Facebook page and -- to their credit -- Reese's has responded.

Reese's defense seems to also be an admission of guilt, but it's good to know they are at least addressing the situation. What do you think? Will you keep eating Reese's and other packaged candy? Let us know in the comments.
