Behold, probably the least-romantic definition of love, courtesy of Wikipedia: "Love is a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that range from interpersonal affection to pleasure."
Ugh ... so dry and boring, isn't it? Yet, it does a spectacular job of capturing the essence of this ephemeral state of mind.
"Love is a variety of different feelings." YES! Exactly. Love isn't a feeling. It's a myriad of feelings, a flood of emotions, an explosion of senses, an unreasonable amount of sighs. True love cannot be put into mathematical formulas, it can barely fit into the pages of all the romance novels or the verses of the love songs ever written.
But we still try to tame it.
