According to RAINN, an American is sexually assaulted every 107 seconds, but 68% of assaults go unreported to police. 98% of rapists won't spend a day in jail. Silence is their friend.
Now a powerful campaign out of Canada is speaking directly to bystanders and asking them to break the silence. The ad depicts four women experiencing different forms of sexual violence and harassment — and the consequences of our responses.
Essentially, the ad argues, when we don't say anything to anyone, we're helping HIM.
But when we speak up, we're helping her.
