What if Marilyn Monroe sang Britney Spears' hit song, "Oops!...I Did It Again," before the pop icon herself made it famous?

Postmodern Jukebox, the band that puts a vintage twist on some of our favorite pop songs, imagined just that.

With lead singer Haley Reinhart on vocals, the song gets an even sexier twist — and it's one we could envision Monroe singing on stage in one of her famous film performances.

Mashable writer Lindsey Robertson thinks the cover is perfect on multiple levels:

"If anyone is the Marilyn Monroe of the 2000s..."

"...It's Britney," she wrote.

Basically, it's the video we've all been waiting for.

Though we don't think the original "Oops!" will ever be topped, we think this cover's unique, vintage spin is one worth hearing. It's the perfect mix of old and new, and Reinhart's sultry, powerful voice hits every note with ease.

"It really works," TIME Magazine writes in their review.

Postmodern Jukebox has also covered hits like "Lovefool," and Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop," with '50s-inspired twists for our enjoyment.

Looks like they've done it again.
