The Chainsmoker's hit song "Closer" has taken the internet by storm in the past year. We've seen several acoustic covers, including one that expertly utilized a kazoo, a killer dance workout routine set to the song, and even a cover performed by Modern Family's Sarah Hyland, just to name a few.

That's why it came as no surprise that our favorite music collective took it on. Postmodern Jukebox, who you may know from their many vintage covers including Britney Spears' "Oops! ... I Did It Again"  and Drake's "Hotline Bling," gave the song a 1950s prom makeover.

This time, Kenton Chen, who was previously featured in Postmodern Jukebox's cover of "Say My Name" and "MMMBop," took on lead vocals.

"Ever since Kenton appeared on our channel singing backups on our 'Say My Name' remake, he's become a new fan favorite, thanks to his charisma and multi octave, pitch perfect vocals. In 'MMMBop' in particular, he stole the show by singing both the bass and soprano lines," Postmodern Jukebox creator Scott Bradlee wrote in a blog post. "Clearly, it was time for him to make his solo video debut, and he gave an outstanding and fun performance of this enormously popular hit. The soulful Mario Jose and Vince Cannady also joined us for some sweet harmonies. If you were in high school during the late '50s, this would be your JAM."

We're not in high school and this isn't the '50s, but we're still vibing out hard to this one.
