'Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit Models Give Advice To Their Younger Selves

And we could all learn a thing or two.

This year's Sports Illustrated swimsuit Issue has been making headlines for being the most diverse issue in its history. It features women of color such as Philomena Kwao, plus-size models such as Ashley Graham, and the oldest woman to ever grace its pages, 56-year-old Nicola Griffin.

Bustle sat down with all three of these models to talk body image and self love in a new video. They got real about the challenge to truly accept yourself for who you are and what you look like.

"You may compare yourself to other people for the rest of your life," Graham said. "But at the end of the day, if that's how you're going to continue to live your life, you're never going to be happy."

Looking directly into the camera, these strong women had some wise words to share with their younger selves.

“Girl, you look good. That sassy personality is going to get you far in life," Ashley Graham said. "Those thick thighs? They’re going to make you a lot of money.”

“You’re the perfect weight, perfect height. I love your hair, and I love your skin tone," Philomena Kwao said. "You don’t need to be like anyone else. Sooner or later, you will learn that you are beautiful as you are.”
