A few weeks ago, anti-abortion activists released a series of videos that purported to show Planned Parenthood employees discussing the sale of fetal tissue for profit.
In the wake of the video release, rallies around the country and pressure on social media brought Planned Parenthood funding to a vote in the Senate. As we reported, Republicans in Congress failed to defund Planned Parenthood and the approximately $500 million dollars they receive in federal funding will continue to flow in their direction.
What came in the aftermath of the video release was a string of misinformation, hyperbole and lies about what exactly Planned Parenthood does, who their services are available to and how much money and time they spend on these activities. Since many news outlets are clouded by bias and this is an inherently serious issue, the reports Americans received were often conflicting or just completely false.
To combat those reports, Funny Or Die released a satirical, albeit factually based account of what's really going on in these Planned Parenthood locations. We thought it was pretty funny, and since humor can be a good way to communicate on important issues, important to share with you.
