This summer's blockbuster hit will most likely be delivered by the highly anticipated Jurassic World, complete with top-of-the-line visuals, action-packed sequences and a charming Chris Pratt. But for those whose taste for dinosaurs is less teeth-baring and more teary-eyed, feast your eyes on Pixar's 'The Good Dinosaur,' whose teaser trailer was released on Tuesday.
The brief teaser asks viewers to imagine how the world would be if the asteroid that was said to kill all dinosaurs on Earth actually missed this planet. Though it tells nothing of the story, the movie itself is the story of a young dinosaur named Arlo, who sets off on a journey with an unlikely companion, a human boy. On the way, Arlo confronts his fears and discovers his capabilities, as any Pixar character is wont to do.
Premiering on Nov. 25 in the U.S., 'The Good Dinosaur' comes five months after Pixar's first 2015 effort, 'Inside Out.' It is the first time the beloved animation studio will release two films in the span of a year.
Known for its ability to tug at audience's heartstrings — who didn't cry during the final scene of 'Toy Story 3'? — all bets are on Pixar to deliver its best on 'The Good Dinosaur.'
