Crowds Are Taking To The Streets Of Belgium To Share Messages Of Peace, Remembrance, And Solidarity

Earlier today, Belgium was hit by two devastating terrorist attacks.

While authorities searched for the people responsible for detonating the bombs, the people of Brussels turned to each other for reassurance and support. Crowds used chalk to write down messages of peace, hope and prayer, showing the terrorists responsible for the attacks that their country would not break.

They wrote messages reminding people to love and be brave.

Many created hearts out of candles and other objects in honor of those who had been hurt or killed.

The drawings conveyed prayers for strength and peace in a time of turmoil.

Stand strong, Brussels. The world stands with you.
