Paris Jackson Talks About How Her Tattoos Gave Her Strength To Overcome 'Hell'

"I see ink as a way of changing for the better."

Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, recently took to Instagram to share an empowering story about her tattoos.

In the post, Paris says her ink helps her cope with her "dark past."

Instead of seeing pain, she says, "my scars and past of self-hatred have been covered by loving marks, creativity, ingenuity ... and depth."

She adds her tattoos help her find inner-strength. "They represent strength for me. I look back at my old self and then I look in the mirror, and I see a fighter looking back at me. I'll always keep fighting, and encouraging others to stay strong."

Paris isn't the only one to see tattoos as a source of power, as many others also have tattoos with positive messages or symbols.

Paris also recently got this tattoo of her dad.

She wrote in the post, "The meaning of life is contained in every single expression of life. It is present in the infinity of forms and phenomena that exist in all of creation." Never forget your roots, and always be proud of where you came from.
